Im reading, "Don't judge a girl by her cover" By Ally Carter. Its about a teenage girl who goes to a school that the world thinks is just another bratty rich kid school, but thats what everyone else thinks. To go to the Gallagher Academy for Exceptional Young Women means to go to spy school, being a Gallagher means your a teenage girl spy. There are four books in the series, I've read two already but have only just started this one. The main character, Cammie Morgan has four room mates at her boarding school. In this particular book, Cammie is visiting one of her (famous) room mates, Macey McHenry in Kansas, to watch her father accept nomination for vice president of the United States of America. But find themselves caught in the scheming plans of kidnappers. As her and her friends try to solve the real question, who is really after macey? I strongly recommend this mix of danger, excitement, romance and humor. I found it to be full of twists and turns but easily paced. I should say this is more of a girl book but, its enjoyable for everyone. I hope you use this recommendation and read the book sometime.
I think Ally Carter's books are great fun. I know that lots of folks like the Alex Rider books by Anthony Horowitz, but I like the Gallagher Girls and the Heist Society books better. They are more fun and less plot heavy.
ReplyDeleteI like the mix of "danger, excitement, romance, and humor," too. This may be more of a girl book, but like all good stories it can be read by anyone. I was excited to find Ally Carter's books because my daughter loves mysteries and adventure books but all the protagonists were boys in the books that we found.
Do I have all of the Gallagher girls books?
Kat,
ReplyDeleteThis book sounds so good. I love reading books that are about teenage girls. Your description makes me want to stop my book and read this one! Thanks for sharing with me. I am totally going to read it next!
