twilight:
i read the first 20 pages of twilight in class on monday, i found it on ms.tabers shelf and decided to give it a try. it is actually quite a good book, very realistic and exciting. so far, Bella has transferred to her new school and has just started her first day. its very well paced too, and well written. One of those books where as you read its like watching a movie that you create and envision in your own way. the author is good about making bella's emotions similar to lots of other people. for example, when it's Bella's first day, she describes how she feels in a way that so many people can relate to on their fist days. Also how the author doesn't just give away Bella's personality, it comes in bits and pieces as you read. All in all, i enjoyed the book much more than i thought i would have so i strongly recommend it to someone who hasn't read it.

ReplyDeleteYour blog is great! I have seen the movies, but I have not read the books, I think I will now! You did a great job describing Bella and how the author writes! Sounds awesome, thanks for the great book recommendation!

I totally loved the first three books in the Twilight series. They are inventive, romantic, realistic, and they tell a great story.
ReplyDeleteBella and the town of Forks seem totally normal and real - at least in terms of fictional people and places, and I liked her awkward and sweet relationship with her dad that is starting to develop.
I was lucky that I started reading these just after the second book came out so I could read two, right in a row. Have fun with them (and just say "No" to the haters)
