TTFN
Today i began to read a book that i had head of before but hadn't ever looked into. It is a series of three and i ended up reading the second because someone else had checked out the first. The second book is called, TTFN but the first is called TTYL. Both use the same style of writing which is a constant online conversation between three best friends, this style is what makes up the book. The three best friends are very close and have sworn to remain that way throughout their adventures of high school. Like any other group of best friends in any other book, there are usually a few types of people, the wild one, the goody-two shoes yet normal one, and the smart one. Their different personalities make different things harder and easier throughout high school, it is interesting to compare these through looking at the situations the three talk about. Not only is the whole book many different online chat conversations, but they also use modern slang, abbreviations, misspelled words and so on, yet on purpose. As these are through the eyes of three high school girls. I also found it interesting because even though i am not in high school, i know the gist of slang, truthfully its pretty spot on but its a little to much. Anyway, i find the books plot fun and relatable and would be a good short read. Depending on your take on reading a whole book of ichat conversations. I do recommend it though, its full of fun, love, adventures, and scares. Awesome book.

Today, instead of continuing to reread The Hunger Games, i began the Mocking Jay which i have also already read. I did this to test my memory and as a little refresher of the book. I had the same experience with Mocking Jay that i had with The Hunger Games in terms of how good the writing is. It was also really cool when i was reading the Mocking Jay it tied back to both the first and second book and it tied back to some small things that i had forgotten about and when i read the Mocking Jay it all kind of flooded back. It is very interesting to read and see in my mind the change in how Katniss views her world, the people around her, and life in general. At first i believe that she put all her will power in surviving but in the third book we see how much she has been through and how much she has lost. This has a huge effect on her and she states in the Mocking Jay one thing that really made me think about what she has become. She said something along the lines of, I hate everyone but i hate myself more than i hate all of them. Her change in mood has most likely effected the people around her and the people who look up to her. All in all the writing and content in these books is absolutely amazing and intriguing. I hope you read them soon and get a chance to see the new movie based off the first book.
